Dean College OrganizationCollege DepartmentsThe College is organized into a number of departments, and there are expert Administrative staff controlling and supporting student enrolments and records, financial and reporting functions.
The visual arts have occupied a prominent place in our education portfolio. All students, regardless of their background and skills, are encouraged to embrace some of the courses on offer and help themselves to shape their future. The Art Department is home to art history and multimedia arts. Occasionally, the Art & Design Department hosts special events for the campus and local communites, including guest lectures and exhibitions, film screenings, and visiting community artist demonstrations. These events are free and open to all students.
The department aims at ambitious goal of creating a business centre of excellence with professionally renowned and accredited status.
Our staff can offer a wide educational service ranging from GCE to undergraduate, and postgraduate certificates and degrees. Dean College Business Department comprises three interlinked core disciplines: Business, Economics and Management. A truly business department with emphasis on local and international cooperation allowing our students (especially those from overseas) to interact, train and gain useful experiences on the quality and diversity.
The Information and
Communication Technology Department is one of the most powerful in terms of
depth and width of experience of its highly qualified staff. The department
provides IT services appropriate to the College's outstanding
activities in teaching and research. The Department has significant interest in communications especially in the fields of health and robotics.
The department offers courses that emphasize the fundamental and applied concepts of science, treating today's advances and systems as current examples of the underlying concepts. By educating students to think conceptually, we are preparing them to adapt to developments in this highly dynamic field.
The science department aims at enhancing students' skills in problem solving, critical thinking, and clear and concise communication. Developing these skills, along with the technical training necessary to work with computers, creates students well prepared for graduate school or employment in the field. Study of the mathematical sciences develops logical thinking and ability in quantitative analysis; practical mathematical and statistical skills are rigorously pursued to achieve quality students who who plan careers in pure or applied mathematics, probability or statistics, or in the natural or social sciences, in teaching, or in other professions. |
